Meet Victoria
Hi, I’m Victoria. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy (Honours) from Yorkville University. I also hold a degree in Social Development Studies, along with a Diploma in Mental Health and Addictions.
While my educational journey has been extensive, I deeply value the lived experiences I’ve shared with my clients. My professional background includes Community Case Management supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health and addiction challenges, as well as working as a Crisis Intervention Therapist in a rural hospital setting.
It is a true honour to be part of my clients’ journeys — something I never take lightly. Through this work, I have witnessed intimate, complex, and delicate moments in people’s lives. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the resilience, strength, and depth that exist within each of us.
My Approach
My approach to counselling is tailored to you, grounded in a person-centred and collaborative framework. I believe therapy is a space for meaningful discovery — one where you feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow. I am especially sensitive to confidentiality as we live in a rural area and your privacy is essential to a trusting relationship.
Together, we create a supportive environment to better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and move toward the areas of growth that matter most to you.
Within sessions, I integrate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-based interventions
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
The Gottman Method (for couples)
Prepare/Enrich (for couples)
I will meet you where you are, honour your unique experiences, and support you in discovering your capacity for transformation and healing.
Outside of the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, you’ll likely find me in coveralls and muddy boots — either outdoors or in the barn. Spending time outside, being around animals, and staying active are some of the most grounding and restorative parts of my day.
Beyond my work as a psychotherapist, my greatest purpose is being a mom and partner. We live a simple life in the country and value new experiences, time outdoors, meaningful connections with friends and family, and finding moments to laugh along the way.
